Michael Cooper is the Conservative Member of Parliament for St. Albert-Edmonton. Michael serves as the Official Opposition Deputy Shadow Minister of Justice and as a member of the Standing Committee on Justice and Human Rights. He also served as the Co-Vice Chair of the Special Joint Committee on Physician-Assisted Dying.
Michael is a graduate of the University of Alberta, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts (with distinction) and a Bachelor of Laws (with distinction) degrees. He was called to the Alberta Bar in 2010. Prior to being elected he worked as a civil litigator at a leading Edmonton law firm.
Michael is a lifelong resident of the riding and a long-time community volunteer. He is a lector at St. Albert Parish and is a member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Albert Rotary Club and St. Albert and District Chamber of Commerce.
